The Kansas Wheat Festival

The Kansas Wheat Festival has been a Kansas tradition since the year 1900 when Sumner County came together to celebrate a bumper wheat harvest that earned Wellington the title of “Wheat Capital of the World”. Designated the State’s Official Kansas Wheat Festival in 2012, the tradition carries on as we enter the 123rd year celebrating agriculture and community spirit in Wellington, Kansas.
